Minor Building Works
The objectives of this procedure are:
a) To verify that the projected minor building work is in accordance with the standards and regulations in force.
b) Issue the Minor Building Works Approval (MBW-002)
- Transformation of an existing structure:
- Extension of an existing building as far as:
- It does not exceed one secondary volume;
- The extension does not have any storey or underground level;
- It has a height of maximum of 12 feet;
- It does not exceed 300 sqf;
- The maximum cantilever portion should not exceed 4 ft.
- Extension of an existing building as far as:
- Swimming pools:
- The construction of a swimming pool as far as:
- It is totally or partially buried and that any security devices is of a height up to 6ft;
- It is located at a minimum 6 feet from the limit of the neighbor;
- It has a maximum size of 800 sqf.
- Swimming pool of a size smaller than 400 sqf doesn’t have to apply for a development permit
- The construction of a swimming pool as far as:
- Fences:
- The construction of fences of a maximum height of 10 ft with a solid wall up to 6 ft;
- Repairing works:
- Specific repair works with different materials that doesn’t affect the structure
