Minor Building Works

The objectives of this procedure are:
a) To verify that the projected minor building work is in accordance with the standards and regulations in force.
b) Issue the Minor Building Works Approval (MBW-002)

1. Transformation of an existing structure:
   1. Extension of an existing building as far as:
      1. It does not exceed one secondary volume;
      2. The extension does not have any storey or underground level;
      3. It has a height of maximum of 12 feet;
      4. It does not exceed 300 sqf;
      5. The maximum cantilever portion should not exceed 4 ft.
2. Swimming pools:
   1. The construction of a swimming pool as far as:
      1. It is totally or partially buried and that any security devices is of a height up to 6ft;
      2. It is located at a minimum 6 feet from the limit of the neighbor;
      3. It has a maximum size of 800 sqf.
      4. Swimming pool of a size smaller than 400 sqf doesn’t have to apply for a development permit
3. Fences:
   1. The construction of fences of a maximum height of 10 ft with a solid wall up to 6 ft;
4. Repairing works:
   1. Specific repair works with different materials that doesn’t affect the structure
